MACON, Ga. - The Mercer volleyball team dropped its final home match of the 2025 season to the Wofford Terriers 3-1 inside Hawkins Arena on Saturday night.

Freshman outside hitter Charlotte Thompson led the offensive charge for Mercer with 14 kills (.393) and sophomore outside hitter Sophia Henry followed closely behind with 10 kills and added seven digs. Sophomore setter Sammi Bergjans posted a double-double with 19 assists and 10 digs. Sophomore libero Aubri Martin totaled 14 digs and six assists on the night.

The Orange & Black will close out the 2025 regular season on the road against Samford on Friday, Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m. in Birmingham, Ala. and will face Western Carolina on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. in Cullowhee, N.C.

MATCH REPLAY
SET 1 I 25-21	The Bears carried the energy from the win last night into tonight's match to gain the advantage over Wofford at the 7-6 mark. Mercer was able to hang on to the lead for the remainder of the set and secured the win off of a Wofford error.
SET 2 I 19-25	The second set saw nine tie scores and four lead changes with both sides battling to take the momentum back. The Terriers were able to take the lead at the 17-16 mark and maintained the lead throughout the rest of the set.
SET 3 I 11-25	Wofford came into set three in attack mode and quickly took an 8-2 lead over the Bears. Mercer was not able to find their footing to make a comeback and Wofford took advantage, cruising to a set-three victory.
SET 4 \| 13-25	Mercer showed some fight in the beginning of the set after back-to-back aces from Avery Wilks but the Terriers used a six-point service run to make a comeback and pull the set out of reach from Mercer to pick up their 10th conference win of the season.
