MACON – The Mercer women's basketball team will play the second leg of a three-game road trip on Wednesday when the Bears load the bus and head to Buies Creek, N.C., to take on Coastal Athletic Association foe Campbell inside Gore Arena/Pope Convocation Center. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.

| Visiting Mercer scored the first 15 points of the afternoon to spark a dominant first-half effort, and the Bears cruised to their third road win of the season with a convincing 71-45 win over Charleston Southern on Friday afternoon. It was the third win in the last four outings for Mercer who shot nearly 54 percent from the field in the opening half. Senior Ariana Bennett turned in a career- and game-high 24 points on 10-for-14 field goal shooting. | |

| The Bears (5-3) have canned better than 43 percent of their field goal attempts over their last four road outings, including aa 45.6 percent effort in Friday's win at Charleston Southern, as well as a 48.1 percent shooting effort two weeks ago at Jackson State. Mercer leads the Southern Conference in 3-point shooting percentage (35.2), as well as perimeter defense (28.5 percent), and has limited its first eight opponents to just 62.3 points per game. Senior Ariana Bennett leads the offensive charge for the Orange & Black with 13.1 points an outing, including 19.0 points per game over her last four starts. | |

| The Camels (4-5) have dropped their of their last four outings, but have scored 77.0 points per game in appearances inside Gore Arena/Pope Convocation Center this season, including a 65-point win over Virginia-Lynchburg in their home opener. Campbell has turned in 15.0 offensive rebounds per game, and has held opponents to just 57.7 points an outing thanks to a defense that has limited opponents to just 36.9 percent shooting from the field. Sophomores Ciara Alexander and Jasmine Felton are averaging 11.3 points and 11.1 points, respectively, while Alexander leads the Camels with 6.7 rebounds an outing as well. | |

| Wednesday's matchup in Buies Creek, N.C., will mark the first meeting between the Camels and the Bears since the 2017-18 season. Campbell leads the all-time series, 26-15, but Mercer will bring a two-game series win streak into the contest, including a 76-60 victory over CU on its last trip to Buies Creek. | |
