MACON – The Mercer baseball team is set for another big weekend at OrthoGeorgia Park, playing host to Tennessee Tech for a three-game set starting on Friday. Friday's game serves as the Cherry Blossom Festival Kickoff Game, with ballpark festivities including an exclusive Mercer Bears and Cherry Blossom themed koozie giveaway and a Cherry Blossom themed jersey raffle. Peach County Schools will be recognized on Saturday's City of Byron Day, with Peach County principles throwing out the first pitch.

> Mercer welcomes the Golden Eagles to OrthoGeorgia Park to wrap up a five-game homestand before hitting the road to Florida State on Tuesday and Charleston next weekend for the first SoCon series of the season against The Citadel

Scouting Tennessee Tech

Tennessee Tech boasts a 14-4 record entering the weekend and is currently riding a five-game winning streak, having most recently defeated Middle Tennessee on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles are led at the plate by sophomore catcher Mack Whitcomb and freshman shortstop Owen Lee. They carry batting averages of .339 and .313, respectively, and have each hit four home runs. Tennessee Tech has pitched well as a unit, holding a 4.15 team ERA. Junior Jaxson Pease has been outstanding, posting a 3-0 record and a 1.42 ERA in four starts.
