
Mercer In Gainesville For Gators Invitational

Tournament is March 7-8
MACON, Ga. - The Mercer women's golf team prepares to play in the Gators Invitational this weekend from March 7-8 in Gainesville, Florida. The tournament - hosted by the University of Florida - is held at the Mark Bostick Golf Course.
The tournament was originally scheduled to be three days long from Friday to Sunday, however rain is forecasted to fall this weekend in the Gainesville area, therefore the tournament will now be Friday and Saturday. The first two rounds will be played on Friday and the final round will be played on Saturday. Play will begin via a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. both days.
There are 14 teams competing in the tournament, including four nationally ranked teams in the top 40.
It will be Mercer's third tournament of the spring season. The Bears last competed in the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational where Katie Scheck and Emilia Väistö finished in the top 10 and Mercer as a team finished tied for third with Boston College.
