Track Team Splits, Heads To Atlanta, Texas

MACON – The Mercer track & field team will continue its 2025 regular season schedule on Friday and Saturday when the Bears split their squad and head to both Atlanta and Texas for weekend competition.

MU's hurdlers and sprinters will make the long trek to Waco, Texas, for the Baylor-hosted Michael Johnson Invite, while the distance squad is scheduled for competition on Friday at the Georgia Tech Invitational. Fans can follow both meets in progress for free via live scoring and results links provided by both institutions.

Mercer's sprinters will get the weekend started on Friday at 6:30 p.m. ET when they compete in the 200m Dash at Baylor's Clyde Hart Track & Field Stadium, and then follow with competition in the 400m Hurdlers at 7:30. Saturday's action in Waco has the Orange & Black running in five disciplines beginning with the 100m Hurdles at 1:30 p.m.

The distance squad will compete in three events on Friday evening at Georgia Tech's George C. Griffin Track & Field Facility. The Bears will kick off their night in the capital city in the 1500m Run at 7:20 p.m.
