
Women Sit At No.12 In USTFCCCA Regional Rankings

MACON, Ga. - For the first time in program history, the women's team comes in at #12 in the 2025 NCAA Division I Women's Cross Country Regional Rankings, released on Monday morning by the U.S. Track and Field& Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
The Bears finished 8th overall out of 54 teams at the Southern Showcase in Huntsville, Ala. this past weekend. Eight different Bears on the women's team placed personal-best times, including graduate student Nikki Harris who cross the finish line first for Mercer and finished 20th overall in the women's 5k with a time of 17:14.4. Harris' time was a personal best and the third-best in school history. Freshman Mary Grace Parker finished with a time of 17:28.6 for the fifth-best time in school history and a personal best. Emma James and Chiara Belfico also finished in the top 60, both recording personal bests with times of 17:47.0 and 17:49.4, respectively.
Regional Rankings are determined subjectively by a single member coach in each respective region. The regional representative is tasked with weighing returning teams' strength with current season results in determining a rank-order of squad potential.Â
