Harris Named SoCon Runner Of The Week

MACON, Ga. - Nikki Harris has received Southern Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week honors for her record-breaking performance at the Southern Showcase on Sept. 12 in Huntsville, Ala.
Harris finished first for the Bears and 20th overall in the women's 5k with a time of 17:14.4. The Ocala, Fla. native set a new personal record and slid into third-best time in school history. Harris' time helped lead the Bears to an 8th place finish out of 54 teams and the #12 spot in the USTFCCCAÂ Women's Cross Country Regional Rankings for the first time in program history.Â
Mercer will make the short trip to Atlanta, Ga. on Oct. 3 for the Georgia Tech Invitational hosted at Bouckaert Farm.
