Junior Abigail Holtman scored a game-high 22 points on 6-for-12 shooting, including a quartet of 3-pointers, while senior Ariana Bennett nearly registered her second double-double of the season with 15 points and nine boards. | Â Â ABOUT MERCER | |
| The Bears (12-6, 2-1 SoCon) have captured seven of their last eight outings, and will ride a six-game home win streak into Hawkins Arena on Saturday. Mercer has averaged 72.0 points per game on nearly 40 percent field goal shooting over its last eight outings, while also forcing 21.0 turnovers and holding opponents to just 59.4 points per game over that stretch as well. Senior Ariana Bennett will bring a team-best 12.5 points per game into the tilt with Furman, but junior sharpshooter Abigail Holtman has turned in 15.5 points per game over her last six starts on the strength of a 41 percent shooting clip from the perimeter. | |
