Mercer (14-12, 8-6 SoCon) comes into this week looking to gain momentum as they are just two weeks out from the SoCon Championship. Over this past week, Taylor Timko has hit a new level, setting a new career-best 19 kills on Tuesday against Samford while leading the team on Saturday against Wofford with 15 kills. On the defensive side, Aubri Martin has also kicked her game into gear, recording a career-high 29 digs last Tuesday against Samford while nearly repeating that success in one less set on Saturday against Wofford when she had 28 digs and four service aces.Chattanooga Mocs
The Mocs (7-19, 2-12 SoCon) dropped their first seven conference matches before picking up their first win over Western Carolina on Oct. 16. Heading into this week's matches, Chattanooga has dropped their past two matches but had a big win over Tennessee Tech in their Halloween game. The Mocs have been strong defensively in the front row, ranking third in blocks per game at 2.10 with Jordin Glass and Kynli Kirkendoll ranking seventh and eighth with .96 and .94 blocks per set, respectively. Kirkendoll has also been efficient on the offensive side of the ball, ranking ninth in the SoCon with a .273 hitting percentage. Caiti Barthel has locked down the back row, as she averages 4.44 digs/set, which ranks second in the SoCon, while adding 17 service aces.
