MACON – With the conclusion of a five-game road trip this past Tuesday, the Mercer Bears (18-3) are looking to build on their best start in program history with their first Southern Conference series of the year against The Citadel (8-11) this weekend at OrthoGeorgia Park.

- In 155 years of Mercer baseball, no team has gone 18-3 until this season. Head coach Craig Gibson led the Bears to the best start in program history after beating Florida A&M, 9-2, this past Tuesday. Gibson is now 746-507 since taking over as the Bears' skipper in 2004.
