Notables:
- The Mercer Bears head into the midweek on a three-game losing streak after dropping a conference series for the first time in 2026. The Bears were swept for the second time this season by Western Carolina in Cullowhee, North Carolina.
- The last time the Bears dropped a game in Kennesaw, Georgia, was on May 8, 2019. The Owls scored seven runs in the fifth inning and defeated Mercer 8-5.
- Mercer dominated Kennesaw State in the last meeting between these two programs. The Bears mashed four homers and plated 14 runs off 12 hits in OrthoGeorgia Park. Eli Stephens went 3-for-4 with a double, grand slam and a season-high six RBI to headline an offensive attack that earned head coach Craig Gibson his 750th career win.
