Notables:
- The Bears are currently on their longest losing streak of the season after dropping each of their last four games. Mercer's pitching staff allowed 44 runs over that stretch.
- Mercer's offense continues to impress with several individuals towards the top of multiple hitting categories. Titan Kamaka is fifth in the nation with 17 doubles and leads the Southern Conference. Braydon Kersey and Logan Shepherd are tied with the 18th-most home runs in the country at 14. Five different Bears are among the top 100 batters in slugging percentage headlined by Eli Stephens with a .737 (32nd of 250 qualified hitters).
- Towson enters the weekend amidst a four-game skid after Monmouth swept the Tigers last weekend and Maryland took the midweek.
- Brian Heckelman leads the Tigers' offense with a .321 batting average, 1.005 OPS, seven home runs and 62 total bases in 109 at-bats. The senior catcher has spent all four years of his collegiate career with Towson and was an All-CAA First Team selection a year ago.
- The Tigers' pitching staff has relied heavily on their starters throughout the season. Liam Diehl leads Towson's stable with a 4.87 ERA and 46 strikeouts in 40.2 innings. Dutch DeProspero and Aden Knowles have hurled 36.0 and 39.2 innings, respectively, and have 65 total strikeouts between the two. Knowles began the season as the Tiger's Friday night guy with Diehl going on Saturdays and DeProspero on Sundays. However, Towson adjusted the rotation during the Campbell series from March 20-22 and has not made any changes since then.
