
Mercer Visits Wofford Wednesday In Final Road Game Of Regular Season

MACON, Ga. - The Mercer women's lacrosse team prepares to visit Wofford Wednesday afternoon from Spartanburg, South Carolina. First draw is set for 4 p.m.
It is the final road game of the regular season for the Bears. Mercer can clinch at least a share of the Big South regular season title with a win over Wofford.

SERIES HISTORY
Wednesday will be the ninth all-time meeting between Mercer and Wofford. Mercer has never lost to Wofford as the Bears have won all eight previous meetings, including a 15-9 win last year in the Big South Tournament semifinals.
LAST TIME OUT
Mackenzie Ward made five saves in three quarters of work in goal to help the Mercer women's lacrosse team pick up its first ever shutout in program history as the Bears defeated Radford, 24-0, last Saturday from Radford, Virginia.
SCOUTING WOFFORD
Wofford enters Wednesday's game with a 7-8 overall record and 5-1 record in Big South play. The Terriers are coming off a 15-11 win over Presbyterian last Saturday.
Wofford is just 3-6 at home this season. Wofford's lone conference loss was to High Point, a 16-10 loss at home.
In conference games, Wofford ranks third in the Big South in goals per game at 15.7 per game. Defensively, Wofford also ranks third in the Big South in scoring defense at 11.2 goals allowed per game. In Big South games, the Terriers average 11.2 caused turnovers per game which ranks fifth in the league. Wofford has been excellent in the draw circle where they lead the Big South and rank 12th in the country at 15.5 draw controls per game.
Sophomore attacker McKenzie Moeller leads the Terriers in points (44) and goals (33). The Terriers have a balanced attack with five players with more than 30 points on the season.
Redshirt sophomore goalie Hannah Taylor has started all 15 games in goal for the Terriers. She owns a .369 save percentage and has a 14.6 goals against average.
