- This weekend marks the first time these two programs have seen each other since Mercer eliminated Wofford from the SoCon tournament last season. With everything on the line, the Bears put everything on the table with Colton Cosper throwing a 140-pitch complete game to secure an 8-6 win over the Terriers.
- The Bears enter this weekend leading the SoCon in runs, hits, doubles, home runs, RBI, walks, batting average, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, OPS and total bases. Wofford leads the league in ERA and has allowed the least walks and earned runs. The Terriers also have the second-fewest hits given up, the second-most strikeouts (trailing Mercer) and leads the SoCon with nine saves and a 1.38 WHIP.
- Both teams enter the weekend on winning streaks as the Bears have won the last four games they have played and the Terriers being winners of their last nine. Wofford has outscored its opponents 98 to 25 over that stretch.
