Trodd Lights Up Score Card On Second Day Of National Golf Invitational

MARICOPA, Ariz. – Nathan Trodd jumped eight spots in the individual rankings with a five-under 67 in the second round of the National Golf Invitational at Ak-Chin Sand Dunes Golf Club on Saturday. The senior sank six birdie putts with only one blemish on his card.
Phillips Swift made the biggest jump of the day for Mercer as the freshman from Macon, Georgia, leaped 10 spots in the individual rankings with a three-under 69. Swift now sits tied for 26th with Josemaria Gutierrez who carded his second straight round of 71.
Henry Robards is tied with Trodd for the 12th-best score at six under par after finishing the second round of the event with a one-under 71. Robards shot five under par with a bogey-free opening round.
