Men’s Soccer Receives United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the 18th season in a row, the Mercer men's soccer team was named a recipient of the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for its academic prowess.
United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements of high school and college soccer teams whose scholar-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year. College Team Academic Award recipients are active members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program with a composite grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster for the 2025-26 academic year.
The Bears maintained a 3.49 team GPA to become one of just 338 men's programs to receive this honor nationwide. Mercer was one of just 187 schools that had both their men's and women's teams recognized with this award.
Mercer begins the 2026 regular season this Thursday against Florida Atlantic at Betts Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. and admission is free.
