Bears Set For Golfweek Red Sky Classic Out In Colorado

Second tournament of fall season for Bears
MACON, Ga. - The Mercer women's golf team continues its fall season at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic at Red Sky Golf Club in Wolcott, Colorado.
Mercer will be in a field of 20 teams in the 54-hole tournament, beginning on Monday, Sept. 21. The final round will be Wednesday, Sept. 23.
The Bears will battle a competitive field at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic. Six teams are ranked in the Golfweek preseason poll, and 11 competed in the NCAA Tournament last year. The ranked teams in Golfweek's preseason poll include: No. 2 USC, No. 5 Texas A&M, No. 14 Pepperdine, No. 16 LSU, No. 20 Eastern Michigan, and No. 30 Arizona.
This will be the fifth straight year the Bears will compete in the Golfweek Red Sky Classic. Mercer's best finish in the event was fifth place in 2023. This is the second tournament of the fall season for Mercer. The Bears began their season at the Golfweek Fall Challenge in Pawley's Island, South Carolina. Tylar Whiting led the Bears by finishing tied for 14th at 3-over par in the field of 120 golfers.
