Women's Golf Begins Fall Season Sunday At Golfweek Fall Challenge In South Carolina

Tournament is Sunday Through Tuesday at Caledonia Golf and Fish Club

MACON, Ga. - The Mercer women's golf team is set to open its fall season on Sunday, Sept. 6 at the Golfweek Fall Challenge in Pawleys Island, South Carolina.

The tournament - hosted by Golfweek - is a 54-hole tournament played Sunday through Tuesday from Caledonia Golf and Fish Club.

This year's Mercer team features five returning players from last year's team along with two transfers. The Bears are coming off a 2025-26 season in which they won the Mercer Invitational in November and finished fourth out of 10 teams at the National Golf Invitational to close out the season in May.

The Bears return three seniors in Riley Kim, Ella Mäki-Tanila and Bhoomi Jagtap, along with fifth year Tylar Whiting.

Also returning from last season is junior Mahima Vurupatur. The new additions on the team this year are two transfers in Ella Salama (Texas State), Shani Van Rooyen (Odessa College).
