Bears Conclude First Tournament Of Season At Golfweek Fall Challenge

PAWLEY'S ISLAND, S.C. – The Mercer women's golf team finished its first tournament of the season in 15th place in a field of 23 teams at 41-over, 893 at the Golfweek Fall Challenge from Caledonia Golf and Fish Club in Pawley's Island, South Carolina.

Tylar Whiting led Mercer with a top 20 finish as she finished tied for 14th at 3-over, 216 in the field of 120 golfers. Whiting's 39 pars over the 54 holes were tied for sixth most in the field.

The Bears matched their opening round team score on Tuesday with a round of 10-over, 294. Three Bears carded rounds of 2-over par or better on Tuesday as Whiting carded a 72 (+1), and Riley Kim and Bhoomi Jagtap each finished with their best round of the tournament with rounds of 73 (+2).
