Tanner Gordon joins the Mercer University baseball stafffor the 2015 season as a volunteer assistant coach.
Gordon comes to Mercer from Middle Georgia College, where heserved as an assistant coach. He helped guide the Knights to a38-15 record in 2014, while overseeing the development of SecondTeam Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association outfielder DrewTaylor.
Prior to his time at Middle Georgia, Gordon served as anassistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Andrew College. AtAndrew, he worked primarily with the catchers and pitching staffwhile also assisting with field maintenance and travelarrangements.
After finishing his collegiate career at Auburn-Montgomery,Gordon went on to pitch for one season in the Arizona DevelopmentalIndependent Baseball League.
Gordon holds a bachelor’s degree in general studies fromSouthern New Hampshire University.
