Reese Sauerbrun is in his first season with the Bears as a Graduate Assistant for the 2026-27 season. Sauerbrun, a native of Ashville, Ohio, joins the Mercer men’s basketball program after spending four seasons with the Ohio State men’s basketball program as a student manager. During his time with the Buckeyes, Sauerbrun was a part of the 2025-26 team that earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament. He was also part of six All-Conference selections during his time in Columbus.

Sauerbrun graduated from Ohio State in the spring of 2026 with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Industry from the College of Education and Human Ecology.
