Leesa Morales has served as a graduate assistant coach for Mercer's cross country and women's track and field programs since the start of the 2018-19 academic year.
Morales was a four-year scholarship student-athlete at the University of North Texas, where she competed in cross country and track. She served as a team captain for the Mean Green from 2013-15 and helped them capture Sunbelt Outdoor Track & Field Conference titles in 2012 and 2013. Morales additionally served on the UNT Cross Country & Track & Field Leadership Council and was a member of the Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society.
Morales received her bachelor's degree in kinesiology from North Texas in 2016 and later completed her master's degree in recreation, event and sports management at North Texas in 2018.
A native of Victoria, Texas, Morales attended Victoria East High School.
