Mercer Picks Up Academic Award From USTFCCCA

MACON – Months removed from matching a program-best finish at the Southern Conference Championships, the Mercer track & field squad added another exclamation mark to its 2026 season on Monday by picking up All-Academic Team accolades from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

It is the sixth-straight year that the Bears have raked in the national academic honor which is awarded to men's and women's track & field squads that registered a 3.0 cumulative team grade point average during a given season. Mercer's track & field student-athletes combined to register a 3.577 team GPA during the 2025-26 academic year.

Mercer was one of just five Southern Conference teams recognized by the USTFCCA as an all-academic team for the 2025-26 season. The Bears joined Furman, Samford, VMI and Wofford in the announcement.
