Mercer women's lacrosse head coach Samantha Eustace announced the addition of Lauren Messinese to the staff as an assistant coach ahead of the 2026 season.
Messinese joined the Mercer program after playing five seasons with the Rutgers University women's lacrosse program. After redshirting her freshman year, Messinese went on to play in 45 games as a defender for the Scarlet Knights. She finished her career as a four-time Academic All-Big Ten selection with 35 ground balls and 18 caused turnovers.
Messinese's experience playing in the Big Ten and insight of the game will be a valuable component for Mercer women's lacrosse student-athletes.
