Started in all 22 games for the Bears…Led Mercer with 22 points and nine goals, while tying for third with four assists…Scored three game-winning goals to finish second on the team…Helped the Bears to finish third in the conference in total points (134), total goals (47) and scoring offense (2.14)...Named to the SoCon All-Tournament Team and was a SoCon All-Conference Second Team selection...Was also named to the NSCAA Southeast All-Region Third Team.

Showed she was not just a one-hit wonder by following up a breakout sophomore campaign with a sold junior season as the primary playmaker of the Mercer offense...Appeared and started in all 21 games...Totaled 15 points on four goals and seven assists...Ranked tied for eighth in the A-Sun Conference with her 15 points while ranking third in the league with her seven assists...Led the team and ranked fourth in the A-Sun with 58 shots...Tied her single-game career-high of four points with a goal and two assists in a 10-0 season opening win for Mercer over Alabama A&M (Aug. 24)...Scored a goal and assisted on the game-winning goal in a 2-1 win at Alabama (Sept. 1)...Was named the A-Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 3...Scored a goal in wins over Georgia Southern (Sept. 22) and East Tennessee State (Oct. 4)...Assisted on the game-winning goal in a 1-0 A-Sun Championship first round win over Stetson (Nov. 2)... Moved into a central attacking midfield role previously held by one of the best players in Mercer women’s soccer history, Olivia Tucker, and proved to be a more than capable replacement...Appeared in 21 games, including 20 starts...Put up offensive numbers that rivaled the top players in the A-Sun Conference, ranking tied for fifth in the league in points (19), tied for sixth in goals (6) and tied for fifth in assists (7)...Her 19 points in 2012 were the most scored by a Mercer player in a single-season since Tucker notched 23 points in 2008...Her seven assists last season were the 88th most in the nation and tied for the fifth-most in a single-season in program history...Scored her goals in big time moments, as she led the team and ranked tied for third in the A-Sun with three game-winning goals...Scored goals in Mercer’s first two games of the season against Southern Mississippi (Aug. 17) and South Alabama (Aug. 19)...Delivered her first multi-assist performance of her career when she notched two assists in a 2-0 win at Charleston Southern (Aug. 25)...Collected another collegiate first when she scored two goals for her first multi-goal outing of her career in a 7-0 win over Alcorn State (Sept. 9)...Netted the game-winning goal in a 3-0 win over A-Sun Conference foe USC Upstate (Sept. 28)...Tallied one assist in three-straight contests in wins over Northern Kentucky (Oct. 7), Jacksonville (Oct. 12) and North Florida (Oct. 14)...Was rewarded for her performance by being voted to the A-Sun Conference All-Academic teamand named an A-Sun All-Academic Honoree.
2011
Saw action in 19 of the Bears 20 games as a true freshman at her defensive midfield position, including 10 starts...Began the season in a starting role for the Bears...Finished sixth on the team in total shots (19) and second among freshmen in 2011...Recorded her first point in a Bears uniform when she assisted on a goal in Mercer's 4-0 win over Alabama State (Sept. 18)...Had a season-high of four shots in the Bears 4-0 shutout at Presbyterian (Sept. 16)...Also named an All-Academic selection by the Atlantic Sun.
High School
Led Winter Park High School for the most goals and assists in a season in two of her four years as a starting varsity player...Served as the team's captain her junior and seniors years and also has extensive club and ODP experience in the state of Florida...Won the MVP award in the Florida High School All-Star Game and was honored as the 6A Player of the Year her senior year...She was a teammate of Rachel Buffalo on the Florida Rush Nike Premier club team this past season and played up a year on a Florida Rush Nike Premier U18 club team that was the 2009 State Cup champions and runners up in 2007 and 2008...Also played on the same ODP '92 "A" team for four seasons and was a two-time Region III finalist.
Personal
Was a member of National Honor Society at Winter Park HS and a member of the International Baccalaureate program her freshman year...Gassie and fellow Mercer teammate Rachel Buffalo played on the same club team in Florida and now wear a black armband whenever they take the field in remembrance of their club coach Mike O'Kennedy, who passed away unexpectedly on August 24, 2010…Is the daughter of Lisa and Bob Gassie and has a sister, Mackenzie.
