Played a total of 501 minutes as a true sophomore, making one start and playing in 13 total games mainly from her defensive position…Totaled four shots on the year including two against FGCU (10/7) and at ETSU (10/23)...Played a season-high 96 total minutes of the Bears tie game against Jacksonville (10/28) in the first round of the A-Sun Championship...Saw action in all three of the Bears postseason tournament games in the A-Sun Championship… Also named an All-Academic selection by the Atlantic Sun.

2010

Saw action in nine games as a true freshman, mainly from a reserve role at her defensive midfield position…Had a shot on goal in her first game of her career against Georgia Southern(8/22)…Recorded another shot against Air Force(9/12).

High School

Young was a two-sport athlete at Rockdale Magnet School of Science and Technology lettering all four years as a varsity soccer player and three times as a swimmer…As a freshman she was named Rookie of the Year and an All-Area team member at Rockdale…She was the leading scorer on the team while picking up All-Area First Team honors as a sophomore…Young, as a junior, was named the Player of the Year, posting 15 goals and six assists while garnering All-Area First-Team honors again…Young also served as captain of her team at Rockdale… Had ten goals and ten assists as a freshman, posted eight goals and two assists as a sophomore and had a tremendous junior campaign scoring 15 times and adding six assists…Played club soccer for the Rockdale Youth Soccer Association Sporting FC '92 Blue team and spent time with Atlanta Fire United '92 Gold squad.

Is the daughter of Trish and Randy Young…Was an honor roll student at Rockdale for three years as well qualifying for numerous regional science fairs and was able to do research with Immucor Gamma Inc… Was recruited by Wofford…Chose Mercer because of academics and the humble size of the university…Her brother, Ryan Young, is a sophomore defender on the men's soccer team at Mercer…Plans to major in pre-med.
