Â
Mercer's men will be led by sophomore Ahmed Jama and freshman Michael Rowlands, who own the Bears' top-two times in the 8K this year. Jama set the school record with a first-place, 24:57.20 finish at the Jacksonville State Foothills Invitational on Oct. 1. It was the seventh-best finish by a SoCon runner this season. Rowlands owns the second-best finish by a Bear this fall, as he finished the same Foothills Invitational in 27:03.50.
Â
Freshman Anna Grzeszczak and senior Victoria Rogers will highlight the Mercer women's charge at the SoCon Championships. Grzeszczak owns a team-best 18:51.30 finish in the 5K event this season while Rogers, who has arguably been Mercer's most consistent runner, owns a season-best time of 19:16.80.
