
Mercer Drops Match To Tennessee Tech, 3-0

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Mercer women's soccer fell to Tennessee Tech, 3-0, on Sunday afternoon. The weather-shortened match was spread across four and a half hours due to multiple delays. Ultimately, the match was abandoned in the 71st minute and was declared official after inclement weather prevented its resumption.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Tennessee Tech took a 1-0 lead in the seventh minute before play was suspended for the first time after around 25 minutes of play. After play resumed, the Golden Eagles doubled their lead in the 41st minute and carried the 2-0 advantage into halftime. Tennessee Tech scored its final goal in the 68th minute, just before play was stopped for the second and final time.
