Â
HOW IT HAPPENED
Action was packed from the start of the match. In the first minute of play, Ally Fordham nearly headed one in goal but sent the ball just over the crossbar.
Â
The Terriers struck first in the match when the nation's leading goal scorer, Hayley Younginer, snuck one past goalkeeper Jordyn Ebert in the 13th minute.

Â
QUOTABLES
"We've had some great battles with Wofford during my time here. Credit them; they got a goal in the first half but our team responded very well. We had great energy today and we had great effort from the entire team. We stuck to the game plan; we kept creating chances and we were fortunate to put two away. I would have liked to have had a third insurance goal, but overall, I was happy with our team's effort coming off a tough loss Friday night to Furman." --Head Coach Tony Economopolous
Â
NEXT MATCH
• The Bears take to the road their next time out to face Southern Conference foe Western Carolina Friday, Oct. 6, at 7 p.m. in Cullowhee, N.C.
