MACON, Ga. – The Mercer women's soccer team will look to pick up their first Southern Conference road win of the season when they travel to Cullowhee, N.C., to face the Western Carolina Catamounts this Friday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m.

SERIES HISTORY | LAST MEETING
The Bears lead the all-time series over the Catamounts 3-2-0. Mercer most recently fell 1-0 to Western Carolina in 2016.

NOTABLES

Last time on the pitch the Bears returned to their winning ways, defeating the Wofford Terriers, 2-1 at Bear Field.
Sophomore Jasmine Spence netted her second career goal, a game-winner against Wofford in the 70^th minute.
Freshman Ally Fordham scored her fourth goal of the season against The Citadel and leads the Bears in goals scored.
Senior Valeria Bermeo leads the team in assists with six on the season.
Junior midfielder Alexius Hill scored her third goal of the season against Wofford and is now second on the squad in scoring.
Out of the eight victories the Bears have earned this season, five of the wins have come by shutout.
The Bears average 17 shots per match while allowing 13.8 to their opponents.
After facing the Catamounts, the Bears will head to Johnson City, Tenn., to face East Tennessee State this Sunday, Oct. 8, beginning at 7 p.m.

Western Carolina enters Friday's matchup holding a 4-7-2 overall record, with a 1-2-1 conference mark. Most recently the Catamounts earned a 2-2 draw at University of North Carolina Greensboro last Sunday. Western Carolina is averaging 10.9 shots per game; scoring an average of 1.46 goals per match. The Catamounts have struggled protecting their pitch this season, holding a 2-4-0 home record. Megan McCallister leads the team in points (13), scoring five goals on the season and assisting on three.
