Mercer and the 11-team field at Pinetree will play a final 18 holes Tuesday after a decision was made by Kennesaw State officials to shorten the tournament from 54 to 36 holes due to inclement weather.

Mercer on the Team Leaderboard

Mercer on the Individual Leaderboard
Four Bears rank inside the top 20 individually, highlighted by Ball and Schorr, both of whom were under-par Monday. After a bogey on No. 6 to open his round, Ball was three-under-par the rest of the day with birdies on No. 7, 9, 16 and 5. Copp snuck back into the top-16 with a birdie on No. 9, his final hole of the day.
Coach Kayden's Take
"We played really well today in what was easily our best collective round of golf this fall," said head coach Kirk Kayden. "To have our five players notch 70, 71, 73, 74 and 76 in tough conditions was encouraging to see…we battled winds of 15-25 miles per hour.
"Spencer [Ball] was consistent with how he's played all fall; he's hitting a lot of fairways with quality shots off the tee and his approach has been great. Solid rounds by Stanton [Schorr], Jerry [Ren] and Tyler Copp were all much needed. We've put ourselves in a nice position heading into Tuesday."
Tuesday's Pairings
The Bears will tee off alongside leaders Southern Illinois and Western Kentucky in the tournament's final pairing Tuesday. Mercer's five players will tee off from No. 1 at 8:50-9:30 a.m.
