Bears Close Nonconference Slate at Savannah State

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer volleyball team (7-15) will travel to Savannah, Ga. to compete in its final nonconference match of the season. The Bears will face Savannah State on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 6 p.m.

NOTABLES

Mercer is 5-7 in nonconference matches this season.
Paige Alsten ranks second in the SoCon in hitting percentage (.342).
Claire Waliczek ranks third in the SoCon for assists (9.52) per set, and has recorded her tenth double-double this season.
Emily Krogman ranks second in the SoCon for service aces (33).
Krogman and Waliczek registered a double-double a piece Friday against The Citadel, totaling eight (Krogman) and 10 (Waliczek) double-doubles for the season.

SCOUTING SAVANNAH STATE
After a week and a half break, the Tigers get back in full swing, facing Mercer at home on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 6 p.m. Savannah State last played on Oct. 16 when they fell, 3-0, to North Carolina Central. The 3-19 team is led by Jennifer Rosado who owns 107 kills and 35 total blocks for the season. Alee Quint sparks the offense with 4.16 assists per set.
