KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Mercer Men's Soccer star seniors, Conner Antley and Will Bagrou, were named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Men's All-South Region Third Team.
Â
The duo led the Bears in claiming their second consecutive Southern Conference Tournament title and second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance. The dynamic duo accounted for 16 of Mercer's 31 goals, six of the team's 30 assists and 38 of the Bears' 92 points. Mercer is the lone SoCon school with more than one representative on the South All-Region teams as the region is jam packed with Atlantic Coast Conference institutions.
Â
This is the third consecutive season that Bagrou has been named to an All-South Region squad, garnering first team honors a season ago and second team honors as a sophomore. Bagrou finished the season with 12 goals, three assists and 27 points. Bagrou adds this accomplishment to an already decorative career in which he was named 2017 SoCon Male Athlete of the Year, four-time All-Southern Conference First Team honoree and two-time All-SoCon Tournament Team member.
Â
Antley joins the ranks of the All-South Region Squad for the first time in his career. Antley finished the season with four goals and 11 points which ranked second on the Bears. The redshirt-senior defender also added three assists to his season total. Antley adds this accomplishment to go along with 2017 All-SoCon Tournament Team and All-SoCon First Team.
