Mercer At Detroit Mercy For ASUN Sunday Showdown

MACON, Ga. – Mercer's road trip continues on Sunday at 11 a.m. when the Bears take on Detroit Mercy. The Bears are looking to open ASUN play with a 2-0 mark and record their second straight road win. Â

Mercer, which has won three games by 10+ goals this season, leads the ASUN with 16.63 goals per game. Additionally, the Bears have tallied a 48.7 shot percentage, which also leads the league.

Mercer's 37 points against Presbyterian ranks as the third most nationally in a single game this season. The Bears have scored 23 goals in two of their wins, which comes in at the fourth most in a single game this year.

ZELTWANGER AND LEONE LEADING THE WAY
With 24 goals and 26 assists, Lindsey Zeltwanger is leading Mercer in points (50) and assists. Kate Leone has scored a team-leading 26 goals, and Leone and Zeltwanger are narrowly trailed by Meghan Segreti and Erica Coyne with 23 and 21 goals, respectively.

Zeltwanger leads the ASUN win points and assists, while Leone leads the league in goals and Zeltwanger ranks second. With her 50 points, Zeltwanger has earned her third spot on Mercer's single-season point leaderboard and has her just 12 points out of first place. She holds the top three spots on the list.

The Bears are leading the league with 75 assists this season and have three players ranked in the top five individually. In addition to Zeltwanger's league-leading 26 assists, Meghan Segreti is ranked fifth with 13 assists.

The Bears have led in the draw circle in five of their eight games, leading to an average of 15.00 draw controls per game. Mercer currently leads the ASUN with 120 total draw controls.
