MACON, Ga. – The Bears are on the road Thursday to face UNCG at 1 p.m. as Mercer women's tennis continues Southern Conference play.

Mercer is 10-5 on the year and has opened SoCon action with a 2-1 mark. The Bears are 2-4 on the road and looking for their first road win in league play.

Katia Stavroulaki is leading the Bears with a 9-3 record in singles play, followed by Katie Sidor with a 10-4 mark, which includes a 10-3 record at flight three. Additionally, Haley Powell is 6-4 for Mercer, Andrea Peteu is 5-1 and Marie Mottet is 6-7. Stavroulaki and Grace Korta lead Mercer in doubles with an 8-5 record at flight one.

UNCG is 2-14 on the year and has started conference play at 1-2, defeating Wofford, but falling to Chattanooga and Furman. No Spartan player has a winning record in singles play, but Sophia Adams is even at 5-5, which includes a 2-1 mark at flight four. Blaine Boaz is 4-6 on the season, while Masey DeMoss is 7-9, Alice Taylor is 5-10 and Nancy Bridges is 5-9 as the quartet makes up most of UNCG's lineup.
