Mercer, Stetson and FGCU all own perfect ASUN records

MACON, Ga. – A trio of undefeated ASUN Conference programs will face off in DeLand, Florida this weekend as Mercer takes on No. 9 (AVCA) Stetson and FGCU twice each April 7-8.

The Bears (10-7, 3-0 ASUN) play Stetson (11-10, 4-0) at 10 a.m. Friday and noon Saturday while taking on FGCU (11-2, 4-0) at 2 p.m. both days. All matches will take place at the Cooper Beach Volleyball Courts.

Mercer claimed 13 of a possible 15 sets en route to opening conference play with wins over Jacksonville and Coastal Carolina and has already tied its program record for overall wins (10). One win this weekend will tie the program record for most conference wins in a season.

NOTABLES

Mercer seeks its first wins over Stetson and FGCU since 2015.
No. 1 pairing Tori Penrod and Emily Krogman are 12-5 overall this season, placing them second among all ASUN pairs in total wins.
No. 2 and No. 3 pairings Emma Peel/Sophie Peel and Danielle Faust/Claire Waliczek are both 3-0 in ASUN play. They are 9-5 and 11-6 overall, respectively.
