BOSTON – Former Mercer defenseman Colin Massa became the program's first draftee as he was selected 81st overall (ninth round) Sunday by the Denver Outlaws in the 2017 Major League Lacrosse Collegiate Draft Sunday.

Â
A Suwanee, Georgia native and four-year starter, Massa was named to three all-conference teams in his career (All-Southern Conference Second Team twice and All-Atlantic Sun Second Team once). Â
Massa joins a Denver organization that is off to a hot start in the 2017 season, owning a 4-1 record while sitting atop the MLL standings.
