
Zylstra, Sullivan, McKelvy Earn All-Conference Awards

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's lacrosse team saw three student-athletes awarded postseason honors after the Atlantic Sun Conference announced the 2025 Men's Lacrosse All-ASUN Teams on Wednesday afternoon.
Freshman attackman Will Zylstra was named to the ASUN All-Freshman Team following an impressive rookie campaign from the Cumming, Ga. native, playing a pivotal role in Mercer's offense this season. Zylstra played in all 13 games for the Bears with 12 starts. The rookie finished tied for second on the team with 16 goals (.587) with nine assists, 12 groundballs and three caused turnovers. Zylstra posted a career-high six goals against St. John's on March 15 in Queens, N.Y. He joins Michael Frederick and Dillon Bush as the third student-athlete to be named to the ASUN All-Freshman Team under head coach Ryan Danehy.
Junior midfielders Jack Sullivan and Dylan McKelvy were named to the Academic All-ASUN Team for their performances on the field and in the classroom this season. In order to be considered for the Academic All-ASUN Team, an undergraduate student-athlete must have a cumulative 3.50 grade point average, participated in 50% of contests during the season, have completed four semesters of college coursework and have one year of residence at their respective institutions.Â

Sullivan appeared in all 13 games for the Bears making 10 starts in his junior campaign. The Medfield, Ma. led the Bears with 12 assists on the season while also adding nine goals, 11 groundballs and one caused turnover. The midfielder posted a season-high five points against St. John's with four assists and a goal against the Red Storm.

McKelvy played in every contest, making nine starts for the Bears this season. The junior posted 11 goals finishing fourth on the team while adding two assists and eight groundballs across 13 games. The Stevensville, Md. native recorded a season-high three goals in the season finale at Jacksonville.Â
