MACON, Ga. - Mercer men's lacrosse head coach Ryan Danehy announced the regular season schedule for the 2026 season. The Bears have a total of 13 regular season contests featuring six road games and seven home games at Five Star Stadium, the most since the 2021 season.
"One of the most exciting things about our slate this year is having seven home contests at Five Star," said Danehy. "Secondly, we have introduced a new opponent in Marquette who the program has not faced since 2015. Thirdly, we are renewing the Richmond rivalry as it will be the first time playing Richmond since the Southern Conference discontinued its men's lacrosse league after the 2022 season. It will also be great to have Army back at Five Star Stadium again after hosting them back in 2023. We are looking forward to our out of conference schedule as it will prepare us for the tough ASUN games every single year."
The Bears open up their schedule with a pair of preseason scrimmages in January where the Bears will host Tampa and then head to Towson the following weekend.
Following the preseason scrimmages, the Bears will open the 2026 slate with back-to-back home games on Jan. 31 against Hampton and Feb. 7 against Marist. The Orange & Black will head to Virginia for their first road trip of the season for a matchup with VMI on Feb. 14 and a battle against powerhouse Richmond on Feb. 16.Â
The Bears return to Macon for their third home game of the season against a dominant Army program on Feb. 23 before hitting the road again. Mercer will start the trip in Philadelphia, Pa., for the second time in program history, for a contest with Drexel on Feb. 28, followed by a hike to Milwaukee, Wis. for a matchup against Marquette for the first time since 2015. Mercer returns to Five Star Stadium for one final tune-up before conference play against St. John's on March 14.
Following a bye week, the Bears open Atlantic Sun Conference play in Charlotte, N.C. where Mercer will take on Queens on March 28. The Orange & Black return to Five Star Stadium to host the defending conference champions, Utah, on April 4, followed by Mercer's annual Alumni Game against Bellarmine on April 11 at Five Star.
Lastly, the Bears will round out conference play with a battle against Air Force in USAFA, Colo. on April 18 and will then return home for the final regular season game where Mercer will host Jacksonville for Senior Day on April 25.
The ASUN Conference Tournament will begin on April 30 for the semifinal round and will conclude May 2 when a champion will be crowned.
