COACH'S CORNER
On the performance of Amanda Thompson:
"Amanda's role had to change this year. We knew we were going to try and emphasize her post play a little bit more. It's not just her ability to score in the post, she is also grabbing the defensive rebound and taking the ball up the court. Her role has drastically changed and that shows what kind of player she is with being able to adapt."
Â
On the defensive weaponry:
"Amanda is not so much our defensive weapon as she is our glue that gives us a calming sense on the floor. Shannon Titus is our biggest defensive weapon. She did a great job on their leading scorer today [Dengokl] holding her to six points when she averages 15."
