Six more school records fall for Mercer

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Mercer women's track and field team continued to shatter school records at a rapid pace as six records fell Friday at the UNF Spring Break Invitational at Hodges Stadium.

Mercer's "Fab Five" freshmen – Marion Meadows, Lauryn Dancy, Tessola Duncan, Sydney Campbell and Cherrish Wright – and junior Madison Mueller combined for new records in the 4x100 meter relay, 4x400 meter relay, long jump, 100 meter hurdles, 400 meter hurdles and 200 meter dash.

The Bears have broken their own 4x100 meter relay record each event this season. Campbell has additionally set the long jump record all three times she's competed in the event.

Coach Wims' Take
"It was another great day for our program as we continue to make strides as a team," said head coach Jerod Wims. "Our freshmen are a scrappy bunch…they are going to take over the Southern Conference soon."
