Mercer will face Stetson and Florida Gulf Coast

MACON, Ga. – Mercer (6-7) will host three teams this weekend as it competes in four matches for the beginning of Atlantic Sun play March 30-31.

First serve against Stetson will begin at 12 p.m. Friday, followed by another afternoon match vs. Florida Gulf Coast at 2 p.m. The Bears will turn around to face the two teams at the same times on Saturday. Mercer will also be hosting Coastal Carolina, but will not face them until later this season.

NOTABLES

Mercer will open conference play this weekend hosting Stetson, Florida Gulf Coast and Coastal Carolina. The Bears went 15-12, 7-3 last season, falling to Stetson twice and once to North Florida.
The Bears outlasted Florida Gulf Coast, beating the Eagles 3-2 both matches during conference season and falling to them 1-4 in the ASUN tournament.
Mercer went 1-3 in the Georgia State Diggin' Duals last weekend, beating Jacksonville State (5-0), and falling to North Florida (1-4), Louisiana-Monroe (2-3), and Georgia State (0-5).
Sophomore, Amber Gibson and freshman, Gracie Garanich, lead the Bears at the number three pairing with seven wins this season.
Individually, Kylie Keeling leads Mercer with a 10-3 record, having only lost to No. 17 Tulane, Central Arkansas, and Georgia State.
