Bears Travel to Wofford, Host Florida A&M This Weekend

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer women's tennis team has a busy weekend of action ahead of them. The Bears will first travel to face Wofford this Friday, April 6, before returning home to host Florida A&M on Saturday, April 7.

Scouting the Terriers
Wofford enters Friday's matchup holding an 8-7 overall record and searching for their first conference win of the season. The Terriers are currently on a six-match losing skid, falling to ETSU, 6-1, in their most recent outing (3/31/18). Jenna Vroman leads the way for the Terriers, holding a team-best 10-5 record on the season. Vroman and Cassidy Hicks have posted a phenomenal 12-3 doubles record on the No. 1 doubles court this season and are currently riding a three match winning streak. Krissy Hall is serving in her seventh season as the head coach of the Terriers.

Scouting the Rattlers
Florida A&M enters the weekend holding a 2-13 overall mark, currently on a five-match losing skid. In their last outing on March 3, the Rattlers fell, 6-1, to Nicholls State. FAMU's roster is full of young faces as five of their eight players are freshman.

The Bears will head to Chattanooga, Tenn. for their final road swing of the season, beginning with facing Chattanooga on Tuesday, April 10.
