The Bears looking to extend its three game winning streak

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer women's soccer team hits the road for its last SoCon road trip of the 2019 regular season. The Bears travel to ETSU and Western Carolina. The Bears and Bucs meet Friday at 7 p.m. and Mercer and Western Carolina meet on the pitch Sunday at 6 p.m.

SERIES HISTORY | LAST MEETING
Mercer is 11-5-2 all-time against ETSU. Last season, the Bucs and Bears split a pair of matchups. The Bears defeated the Bucs on Oct. 19 with a 2-1 overtime win but were defeated Oct. 28 by ETSU, 1-0, in the SoCon Tournament. Against Western Carolina, Mercer is 4-3. Last year, the Catamounts defeated the Bears, 1-0, in overtime.

NOTABLES

The Bears have scored 30 goals this season. This is the most in the SoCon Conference and tied for 33^rd most in the NCAA.
Mercer is averaging 7.1 corner kicks per match this season, the tops in the SoCon. The 7.1 corner kicks per game ranks 10^th in the nation.
Freshman Nicole Icen has tallied a team-high 20 points. The 20 points leads the SoCon. Icen is seven points away from tying for 10^th on for points in a single season for Mercer.
Abigail Zoeller leads the Bears and the SoCon in assists. Zoeller has eight assists this season. For her career at Mercer, Zoeller has 16 assists, which is tied for ninth all-time. She is five assists away from tying with Nancy Fallin for most assists in a career at Mercer.
Mercer's 36 shots in the Gardner-Webb match are the most by the Bears since recording 37 against Alabama A&M on Aug. 31, 2014.

SCOUTING THE BUCS
The Bucs are 4-8-3 on the season and 0-4-1 in the SoCon. They are coming off a 1-0 loss to Wofford on Oct. 13. ETSU has scored 20 goals this season, including six by Sarah Connolly who leads the team. Nine different Bucs have scored this season. Anjela Kricak has a team-high five assists on the season. Tess Mrozek leads the Bucs goalies with 1314 minutes played. She has allowed 15 goals and as a goals-against average of 1.03. She has recorded 56 saves this season.

SCOUTING THE CATAMOUNTS
The Catamounts enter the weekend of SoCon action with a record of 8-6 overall and 2-3 in SoCon action. Western Carolina is coming off a 1-0 loss to Furman on Oct. 13. Western Carolina has scored 18 goals this season. Regan Ward leads the team with four goals and has only appeared in nine games this season. Julia Winter leads the team with four assists this season. In goal, Melody Mezzina has played 924 minutes and has a goals-against average of 1.36. She has made 31 saves and recorded four shutouts. Her four shutouts are the sixth most in the SoCon conference.
