Bears host Wofford for Senior Day and close the season on Sunday against Furman

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer women's soccer team returns home for the final weekend of the 2019 regular season. The Bears will host Wofford for Senior Day on Friday at 7 p.m. and conclude the season on Sunday against Furman. Both games will take place at Betts Stadium.

SERIES HISTORY | LAST MEETING
Mercer is 5-1 all-time against Wofford. In the last meeting between the two schools, Mercer came away with a 2-1 victory during the 2018 season. The Bears are 2-5-1 all-time against Furman. Last season, the Paladins defeated the Bears, 2-1.

The Bears have scored 33 goals this season. This is the second most in the SoCon Conference and tied for 33^rd most in the NCAA.
Mercer is averaging 7.5 corner kicks per match this season, the tops in the SoCon. The 7.5 corner kicks per game ranks 5^th in the nation. Against ETSU this season, the Bears attempted 15 corner kicks in the match.

SCOUTING THE TERRIERS
The Terriers come into the contest with the Bears with a 5-10 record and a 2-5 mark in SoCon play. They are coming off a 2-0 loss to Furman on Oct. 18. Wofford has scored 14 goals this season and is led by Katie Gilligan who has scored seven goals. She is the only Terrier with multiple goals scored this season. They have five assists, all by a different player. In goal, Maria Mon leads the team in minutes played. She has appeared in net for 1119 minutes this season. She has a goals-average of 1.85 on the season. She has recorded 67 saves, the fourth most in the SoCon. Wofford has two shutouts this season.

SCOUTING THE PALADINS
The Paladins enter the weekend with a record of 11-4-1 and 6-0-1 in SoCon. Furman is coming off a six-match win streak and a 2-0 win over Wofford on Oct. 18. Furman has scored 29 goals this season and dished out 31 assists. Kyndal Anderson leads the Paladins with seven goals. Six different players have scored two or more goals this season. Jasmine Greene leads Furman with seven assists on the season. The Paladins have had nine shutouts this season, which leads the SoCon.
