JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The Mercer Bears volleyball team went 0-3 (18-25, 15-25, 15-25) on Friday night against the ETSU Bucs.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Set One (18-25) | The Bears had a slow start to the match, with ETSU taking seven of the first nine points. Malia Randolph would put the Bears on the board first with a kill. Mercer would earn five of the last eight points, but the Bucs would take the set.

Set Two (15-25) | Mercer would come within one point against ETSU behind kills from Jaida Howell and Roberta Todd. The Bucs would go on and take the set 25-15.

Set Three (15-25) | Brittany Major put the Bears on board with a kill. Mercer's longest run in the set woud come from three Bucs errors and kill from Roberta Todd. The Bears would try to catch up but the Bucs would take the match.

NOTABLES

Brittany Major and Jaida Howell led the team with six kills apiece in the match.
Annie Karle recorded one service ace against ETSU.
Mercer recorded 25 kills, 23 digs, and 5.0 blocks in tonight's match.

UP NEXT
The Bears travel to Cullowhee, N.C. to take on the Western Carolina Catamounts on Saturday night at 6 p.m.
