The Bears finish the season with 16 a program record
MACON, Ga. – The Mercer women's soccer team was eliminated by Samford in the Southern Conference Semifinals, 3-0, on Friday afternoon at the UNCG Soccer Complex. Â

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bears and Bulldogs were locked in a tough battle in the first half. The first shot for the Bears came with 17:19 in the contest when Abigail Zoeller had a shot block. The next shot came when Kylie Buchanan had a shot blocked. Samford took six shots and Jordyn Ebert recorded four saves. The game went scoreless into halftime.

Sixteen seconds into the second half, the Bulldogs scored the first goal of the game. With the game 1-0, the Bulldogs scored its second goal of the game when Keyli Borman scored. Samford added its third goal of the contest on a penalty kick. Mercer attempted two shots in the second half and were defeated 3-0.
