Sidor, Mottet and Gutierrez earn singles victories

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer women's tennis team was defeated, 4-3, by Chattanooga in a Southern Conference match on Sunday afternoon at the Leroy Peddy Tennis Center.

Mercer fell to 10-10 overall and 2-3 in SoCon play while the Mocs improved to 8-8 (1-3). Katie Sidor, Marie Mottet and Lucia Gutierrez earned singles victories on the No. 1, 5 and 6 courts, respectively.

Sidor's three-set win (5-7, 6-3, 6-1) over Delaney Edwards tied the match at 3-3, but a three-set loss in on court No. 3 sealed the loss for Mercer.
