MACON, Ga. – The Mercer women's tennis team will aim for its third straight victory, traveling to face the Jacksonville State Gamecocks this Thursday, March 7. Play is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.

Scouting the Gamecocks
Jacksonville State enters Thursday's matchup coming off its only loss on the year, a 4-3 defeat to North Alabama last Wednesday. Prior to the loss, the Gamecocks had won six consecutive matches to open the season. Harriet Hamilton has played in the No. 1 singles slot for the Gamecocks this year, posting a 4-1 mark at the top spot. Alba Conejero is undefeated, going 5-0 on the season. The Gamecocks are led by former Jacksonville State standout Andres Amores, who is serving in his fourth season at the helm.

Mercer will return to the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center for a three-match home stand, beginning with opening Southern Conference play against Western Carolina on Saturday, March 9. Play is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
