Eva Thorn notches first hat trick of the season
MACON, Ga. – Mercer (0-5) fell 10-7 to Davidson (6-0) in its second home game of the regular season Thursday afternoon at Five Star Stadium. Eva Thorn notched her first hat trick of the season, despite the loss. Â

HOW IT HAPPENED
Despite Davidson earning the first goal, Mercer's Hailey Rhatigan (2) and Eva Thorn (1) each notched goals to give the Bears the 3-1 lead. Thorne was able to halt the Wildcats retaliation 2-0 run with her second goal of the afternoon before Davidson closed out the half with another two goals to lead 5-4 at the half.

Mercer was unable to find the back of the net for the first 28 minutes of the second half, while the Wildcats netted five goals to extend their lead 10-4. Thorn, Lily Morin and Kelly Hagerty scored one goal each to pull the Bears within three before officially falling, 10-7.
